Andrew Howard, of StreetSpace, just returned from New York City where he met with the Street Plans Collaborative team to talk about the Better Block project and how it’s being used in our region to rapidly implement block level change while inspiring and involving community. The NYC team that organized the project, Do:Tanker, involved musician Billy Joel and developed the project after viewing our first Better Block video in Dallas. You’ll recognize several elements from our first event including bike sharrows, sidewalk chalk, and cafe seating.
