This past weekend was the annual Jubilee Music Festival in Waco with a Better Block twist. Organizer and director of Mission Waco, Jimmy Dorrell terms the event as bootstrap steps to revitalizing this once active part of Waco as reported in this video.
Downtown Waco recently adopted a master plan for growth and development that embraces new urbanist ideas, transit oriented development and investment transit and bicycle friendly infrastructure. Great plans such as this are implemented by the community ultimately. Congratulations to the community of Waco for displaying the incremental steps that must be taken to fulfill the vision of a decent human environment. What is next Waco?
