Street Level Ideas: Automaker Takes on Human-Centric Design

American automaker Ford Motor Company has taken on a new initiative: human-centered design for public spaces.

We were thrilled to hear that our mission to educate, equip, and empower communities and their leaders to reshape and reactivate built environments to promote the growth of healthy and vibrant neighborhoods aligns with Ford’s City:OneChallenge project. The objective of their project is to foster a more coordinated and advanced transportation system that caters to all forms of mobility in cities.

Currently, the group is working on reimagining public transportation by honing in on the way an individual may experience transit. For them, this means removing mobility barriers, improving existing systems, and implementing other innovative solutions to advance our transportation system through people-oriented design.

The team at City:One released a video featuring our founder, Jason Roberts, discussing exactly what we do to make streets more humane. We thought we would share!
