Design Concept
Confluence, public infrastructure to help combat loneliness, is so named for the point at which two rivers come together. This design is also the confluence of two modalities, the first being the structure itself encouraging the recognition of one another as individuals through orientation and engagement, the second being the activation by white and colored disks that embody the conversation within the community as an evolving visual.
